Brijendra Kala is an Indian actor and screenwriter renowned for his nuanced portrayals of supporting characters in Hindi cinema. Born in Sumari, Pauri Garhwal, Uttarakhand, he spent his childhood in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, where his father worked in a veterinary college. Kala pursued a B.Sc. in Biochemistry from Agra University and was actively involved in theatre through the Swastik Rang Mandal in Mathura for nearly two decades . Kala's film career began in 2003 with a small role in Tigmanshu Dhulia's Haasil. His breakthrough came in 2012 with Paan Singh Tomar, where he played a local reporter alongside Irrfan Khan. He has since appeared in numerous films, including Jab We Met, PK, Tubelight, Shubh Mangal Saavdhan, Gulaabo Sitabo, and Ankhon Dekhi, often delivering memorable performances in minor or supporting roles . In addition to his film work, Kala has written dialogues for several TV shows produced by Ekta Kapoor, such as Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii. His recent projects include the films Mandali and Kathal – A Jackfruit Mystery, as well as the web series Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein and Maamla Legal Hai .
