Bruno Bichir Nájera (born October 6, 1967) is a highly prolific Mexican actor with a career spanning theatre, film, and television, starting at the age of five. Hailing from the renowned Bichir family of actors, which includes his parents Alejandro Bichir and Maricruz Nájera, and his older brothers Odiseo and Demián Bichir, acting is deeply rooted in his heritage.Bichir made his film debut in a minor role in Under Fire (1983) and gained early recognition for his role in Frida, naturaleza viva (1986), a film about the life of Frida Kahlo. Throughout his extensive career in Mexican cinema, he has worked with many important contemporary filmmakers and has been nominated for several Ariel Awards (Mexico's equivalent of the Oscars), winning for Principio y fin (1994). His diverse filmography includes notable Mexican films like Midaq Alley (1995), Sexo, pudor y lágrimas (1999), and Crónica de un desayuno (2000).Beyond Mexican cinema, Bruno Bichir has also made a significant impact in Hollywood and international productions. He has appeared in films such as Julia (2008), Sicario: Day of the Soldado (2018), and The Quarry (2020).
