Bryan Fuller
Bryan Fuller (born July 27, 1969, in Lewiston, Idaho) is an acclaimed American screenwriter, television producer, and director known for his distinctive, highly stylized work that often blends horror, fantasy, and dark comedy. He began his career in the late 1990s as a writer for the Star Trek franchise, contributing to Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and Star Trek: Voyager, eventually becoming a co-producer on the latter, and later co-created Star Trek: Discovery. Fuller is best known for creating a series of visually unique, critically revered cult shows, often nicknamed the "Fullerverse," including the gothic comedy-drama Dead Like Me (2003–2004), the whimsical fantasy series Pushing Daisies (2007–2009)—which earned multiple Emmy nominations—and the dark psychological thriller Hannibal (2013–2015), noted for its cinematic violence and elegant aesthetic. He also served as a writer and co-executive producer for the first season of Heroes and was the developer for the first season of American Gods. Fuller recently made his feature film directorial debut with the 2025 horror-fantasy film Dust Bunny, which reunites him with Hannibal star Mads Mikkelsen and is described as a "gateway horror" story.
