Cameron McHarg is an American actor, director, and writer. Born and raised in Everett, Washington, he has a diverse background that includes serving in the US Marine Corps (3rd Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion) before pursuing his passion for the arts.McHarg honed his acting skills at the Lee Strasberg Actors Workshop in Seattle and later at The Actor's Studio in Los Angeles, working under renowned figures like Mark Rydell and Martin Landau. He has an extensive background in live theater, performing in dozens of stage productions.Beyond acting, McHarg is a talented filmmaker. He earned a BFA in film from the Art Center College of Design, where his work garnered accolades such as a Gold Addy Award, Silver Telly Award, and a shortlisting for the Cannes Young Director Award. His short films, "Kicking Sand in Your Face," "the end," and "Deer Season" have been successful on the international film festival circuit, winning numerous awards, including "Best of Fest/Best Actor" for "Deer Season." He was also featured in "The Top 100 Independent Filmmakers in the World."As an actor, his film credits include "Pearl Harbor" (2001) and more recently, "ZERO" (2024), a feature film shot in Senegal, and "Spaghetti Junction" (2023). He is also a published poet and actively involved in photography.
