Caroline Dhavernas is a Canadian actress born on May 15, 1978, in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, to actors Sébastien Dhavernas and Michèle Deslauriers. Her sister, Gabrielle Dhavernas, is also an actress, specializing in dubbing. Caroline Dhavernas began her career early, starting at the age of eight by dubbing voices for television and made her acting debut at age 12 in the film Comme un Voleur (1990). She is fluent in English and has had a prolific career in both Canadian and American productions.In the United States, Dhavernas is best known for her collaborations with writer and producer Bryan Fuller. She starred as Jaye Tyler in the critically acclaimed but short-lived Fox comedy-drama series 'Wonderfalls' (2004) and as Dr. Alana Bloom in the NBC psychological horror-drama series 'Hannibal' (2013-2015). She also played the main role of Dr. Mary Harris in the Canadian drama series 'Mary Kills People' (2017-2019).Her notable film roles include playing the title role in the television film 'Heart: The Marilyn Bell Story' (2001), appearing in 'Lost and Delirious' (2001), 'Out Cold' (2001), 'Edge of Madness' (2002), 'Hollywoodland' (2006), 'Breach' (2007), 'Passchendaele' (2008), 'Devil' (2010), and 'The Switch' (2010).
