Celia Freijeiro
Celia Freijeiro García is a highly versatile Spanish actress and producer, born on February 9, 1983, in Vigo, Galicia, into a family with a strong artistic background (her father, Rafael Freijeiro, is a painter). After spending a year studying in the USA, she relocated to Madrid to begin her professional career, focusing initially and deeply on the theatre. Freijeiro is a major advocate for the stage, earning multiple prestigious nominations, including for the Valle Inclán Theatre Awards, for her performances in plays like "El color de agosto" and "Los Cenci." Her commitment to the arts led her to launch her own production company, Pocapena Producciones, in 2008, through which she has produced several plays, short films, and the feature film "De chica en chica" (2015), in which she also starred. Freijeiro achieved significant mainstream recognition through television, starring in the popular series "Seis Hermanas" (Six Sisters) (2015-2017) as Adela Silva, and gaining critical acclaim for her role in "Vida perfecta" (Perfect Life) (2019-2021). Her other notable TV works include "Homicidios" and the pioneering Spanish web series "Girl Seeks Girl" (Chica busca chica), which was later released on DVD in the USA. In cinema, she was shortlisted for the Goya Award for Best Leading Actress for her performance in "Todo es silencio" (All Is Silence) (2011). More recently, she has appeared in films like "Honeymoon with My Mother" (2022) and the Netflix thriller "Bird Box Barcelona" (2023).
