Cem Emüler

Cem Emüler is a prominent Turkish actor, director, and translator, born on April 19, 1962, in Ankara, Turkey. He is a graduate of Hacettepe University Ankara State Conservatory, where he studied Theatre. Emüler began his acting career in 1985 and has been an active artist with the State Theatres of Turkey since 1987.He has a remarkable career in theatre, both as an actor and a director. His acting roles in numerous plays include "Doctor Faustus," "Gergedan" (Rhinoceros), and "Ölüm ve Kız" (Death and the Maiden). As a director, he has helmed many productions, notably "Yanık" (Incendies), for which he won the "Most Successful Director of the Year" award at the 16th Afife Theatre Awards in 2012. He continues to direct, with plays like "İnsandan Kaçan" (The Misanthrope) staged in 2025. He also held administrative positions in State Theatres, serving as Director of Ankara State Theatre and the founding director of Antalya State Theatre.On television, Cem Emüler made his debut in 1998 with the series "Sonbahar Kadınları." He has since appeared in a vast array of popular Turkish TV series, including "En Son Babalar Duyar," "Çocuklar Duymasın," "Kadın İsterse," "Behzat Ç. Bir Ankara Polisiyesi," "Kertenkele," "Aşk Laftan Anlamaz," "Eşkıya Dünyaya Hükümdar Olmaz," "Bonkis," "Mahkum," and most recently "Hudutsuz Sevda" (2024). His film credits include "SüperTürk" (2012), "Anatolian Leopard" (2022), and he is set to appear as Ergun in the 2025 film "Kalender Pide" (Pita Hall).
