Chaney Morrow
Chaney Morrow (born April 30, 1985) is an American actor and producer who has become a prominent figure in the modern horror genre, known for portraying intense and often physically demanding characters. He gained significant recognition for his breakout role as The Ghost in the 2019 acclaimed slasher film Haunt, a performance that showcased his ability to project menace through physical presence and limited dialogue. Following this success, he appeared in the 2021 reimagining of Wrong Turn (also known as Wrong Turn: The Foundation) as Hobbs, a member of the isolationist mountain community. His collaboration with director Anthony DiBlasi in the 2023 supernatural horror film Malum, where he played the character John Michael, further solidified his reputation as a "staple" actor within the horror community. In addition to his film work, Morrow has a diverse filmography that includes roles in Dark Waters (2019), Terror Trips (2021), and the 2024 film Bystanders. He has also made appearances in television projects such as Happy Slashers and Quad Cities. Beyond acting, Morrow is an active participant in the horror community, frequently appearing at genre-specific podcasts and conventions to discuss the craft of "mask acting" and the challenges of independent filmmaking. Throughout his career, he has moved between high-profile studio reboots and gritty independent features, often working alongside other horror veterans like Damian Maffei. As of 2026, he continues to be a prolific presence in the industry with upcoming projects like The Boy from Below and Mutilator 2.
