Charles Roven (born August 2, 1949) is a prolific Academy Award-winning American film producer and the co-founder of Atlas Entertainment. Over a career spanning more than four decades, he has become one of Hollywood’s highest-grossing producers, with his films collectively earning over $10 billion at the global box office. Roven is perhaps best known for his pivotal role in shaping the DC Extended Universe, producing blockbuster hits such as Man of Steel, Wonder Woman, Suicide Squad, and Christopher Nolan’s critically acclaimed The Dark Knight trilogy. His work extends beyond the superhero genre to include diverse projects like the sci-fi thriller 12 Monkeys, the romantic fantasy City of Angels, and the period drama American Hustle, for which he received an Academy Award nomination for Best Picture. In 2024, Roven achieved a career pinnacle by winning the Academy Award for Best Picture for producing Christopher Nolan's Oppenheimer. His industry contributions have been recognized with numerous honors, including the Producers Guild of America’s David O.
