Ng Chin Han, known professionally as Chin Han, is a Singaporean actor with a career spanning over three decades. He is one of the most prolific and recognizable Asian actors in Hollywood, known for his ability to seamlessly transition between different genres and roles.He began his career in Singapore, where he gained recognition for his leading role in "Masters of the Sea" (1994), the first English-language drama produced in Singapore. He then made a successful move to Hollywood, with his breakout role as the mob accountant Lau in Christopher Nolan's blockbuster film The Dark Knight (2008).Since then, Chin Han has built a strong presence in major American productions. His notable film credits include the disaster epic 2012 (2009), Steven Soderbergh's medical thriller Contagion (2011), and major franchise films like Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014), Independence Day: Resurgence (2016), and Ghost in the Shell (2017). He also played the villainous sorcerer Shang Tsung in the 2021 film Mortal Kombat and its sequel.In addition to his film work, Chin Han has a prominent television career.
