Cho Jung-seok is a highly celebrated and versatile South Korean actor and singer. Born on December 26, 1980, he embarked on his career in musical theater, where he established himself as a prominent stage actor over a decade, starring in numerous productions including Spring Awakening and Hedwig and the Angry Inch. In 2012, he made a remarkable transition to the big screen with his breakout comedic supporting role in the film Architecture 101, for which he won several Best New Actor awards. His career continued to flourish with a series of successful projects across both film and television. His notable film roles include The Face Reader (2013), My Annoying Brother (2016), and the hit action-comedy Exit (2019). On the small screen, he is widely recognized for his lead roles in dramas such as Oh My Ghost (2015), Don't Dare to Dream (2016), and the critically acclaimed medical drama series Hospital Playlist (2020-2021). Cho is also an accomplished singer, contributing to the soundtracks of his dramas, and even debuted as a singer in 2024. In 2025, he won the Best Actor award at the 61st Baeksang Arts Awards for his role in the film Pilot. He is married to singer Gummy, and they have one child.
