His acting career began in 2002 with a role as King Arthur in the fantasy series Guinevere Jones. He gained prominence through his role in the Australian soap opera Home and Away (2004–2007) before transitioning to Hollywood. Hemsworth's breakout role as Thor in Thor (2011) led to appearances in several Marvel films, including The Avengers (2012), Thor: The Dark World (2013), Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015), Thor: Ragnarok (2017), and Avengers: Endgame (2019).
