Chris Klein is an American actor born on March 14, 1979, in Hinsdale, Illinois. He rose to prominence with his breakout role as Chris "Oz" Ostreicher in the hit teen comedy film American Pie (1999) and its sequels (American Pie 2 and American Reunion). Klein was discovered by director Alexander Payne while still in high school, leading to his debut in the critically acclaimed film Election (1999).Beyond the American Pie franchise, Klein has appeared in a variety of films, including Here on Earth (2000), Say It Isn't So (2001), Rollerball (2002), We Were Soldiers (2002), and Just Friends (2005), showcasing his range in both comedic and dramatic roles. On television, he has had notable roles as Marty Tanner in Welcome to The Captain (2008) and Orlin Dwyer / Cicada in the CW superhero series The Flash (2018–2019), as well as Bill Townsend in Sweet Magnolias (2020). He is also cast as Dan Falconer, Tiffany's father, in the recently released Netflix film Fear Street: Prom Queen (2025).
