Chris Perfetti is an American actor of Italian descent, known for his work in both theater and on screen. Born on December 12, 1988, in Rochester, New York, he was raised in the town of Webster. He is a graduate of the Conservatory of Theater at the State University of New York at Purchase.Perfetti has a strong background in theater, earning a Theatre World Award for his debut performance in the Off-Broadway play Sons of the Prophet. His Broadway credits include Six Degrees of Separation and Picnic. On television, he gained widespread recognition for his role as the lovable but awkward history teacher, Jacob Hill, in the critically acclaimed ABC comedy series Abbott Elementary. For this role, he has received multiple nominations and was a part of the cast that won a Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series. He has also appeared in a number of other TV shows, including HBO's Looking, FX's What We Do in the Shadows, and the film Sound of Metal. His most recent film credit is in the 2025 film Twinless.
