Christopher Nicholas Smith is an American television and film actor, born on June 20, 1982, in Rockville Centre, New York, U.S. He is widely recognized for his role as Dennis in the 2011 horror film Paranormal Activity 3. Smith's education includes attending NYU's Tisch School of the Arts and training at the Atlantic Theater Company acting school in New York City.His career began with a short film titled I Killed Zoe Day and he had a small role in the drama Little Children. Smith made his television debut in 2009 in the third season of 30 Rock, and later appeared in the web comedy series Mayne Street. He has made guest appearances on various popular television shows including The Office, The Mindy Project, How I Met Your Mother, Mom, The Newsroom, and American Dad!.In film, beyond Paranormal Activity 3, he has appeared in The Reluctant Fundamentalist (2012) and Enough Said (2013). He also played Josh Merit in the 2017 romantic comedy film Non-Transferable and provided voice work for Storks (2016). More recently, he co-wrote the comedy-drama film Sacramento, which premiered at the 2024 Tribeca Film Festival. Smith is also the founder, head writer, and principal performer of the sketch comedy troupe Harvard Sailing Team. He has been married to Rebecca Delgado Smith since 2009.
