Christopher Ross, BSC, is a prominent British cinematographer widely recognized for his exquisitely crafted work in feature films and television series. Born in Wandsworth, London, in 1976, he is the current President of the British Society of Cinematographers (BSC).Ross has built a distinguished career by bringing his unique visual style to a diverse range of projects. His notable feature film credits include Black Sea (2014), Yesterday (2019), Cats (2019), Everybody's Talking About Jamie (2021), and The Swimmers (2022). In television, he has gained significant acclaim for his cinematography on series such as Top Boy, Trust (working with director Danny Boyle), and the groundbreaking 2024 adaptation of Shōgun.His work on Shōgun earned him the prestigious BAFTA Television Craft Award for Best Photography & Lighting: Fiction in 2025, along with nominations from the Primetime Emmy Awards and the American Society of Cinematographers (ASC).
