Cihat Tamer

Cihat Tamer, born Ahmet Cihat Tamer on February 24, 1943, in Istanbul, Turkey, is a highly experienced and respected Turkish actor with a career spanning over six decades. He began his journey in acting as an amateur in 1959 at Bakırköy Halkevi, after graduating from Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University. From 1961 onwards, he honed his craft by working in numerous prestigious theaters, including Münir Özkul Tiyatrosu, Bulvar Tiyatrosu, Devekuşu Kabare, and Dostlar Tiyatrosu, eventually even co-founding the Cihat Tamer-Ercan Yazgan Tiyatrosu.Tamer transitioned into television and cinema, where he has participated in a vast number of successful productions. He is particularly known for his roles in long-running and popular TV series such as "Bizimkiler" (Our People), "Perihan Abla," and "Mahallenin Muhtarları." His film credits are extensive and include critically acclaimed works like "The Miracle" (2015), "A Long Story" (2012), "I Saw the Sun" (2009), and "Beyaz Melek" (White Angel) (2007). In recent years, he has continued to be active in the industry, appearing in series such as "Kraliçe" (2023) and "Vermem Seni Ellere" (2023). Most recently, Cihat Tamer was part of the cast for the 2025 Turkish comedy film "Another You" (Başka Bir Sen). His prolific career and enduring presence have made him a beloved and recognizable figure in Turkish entertainment.
