Cindy Bruna
Cindy Bruna is a French fashion model born on September 27, 1994, in Saint-Raphaël, France, to an Italian father and a Congolese mother. Despite initially aspiring to become a chartered accountant due to her proficiency in mathematics, she was scouted at the age of 15 by an agent for Metropolitan Management. She began her modeling career by traveling to Paris for shoots during school holidays and officially moved to the capital after receiving her high school diploma. Her breakthrough came in 2012 when she made history as the first Black model to walk exclusively for Calvin Klein. Since then, she has become an international fixture in high fashion, walking runways for major houses like Balmain, Chanel, Alexander McQueen, and Bottega Veneta. Bruna gained significant recognition for her appearances in the annual Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, walking in every show from her debut in 2013 until the show's format change. She is also a global spokesperson for L'Oréal and has been featured on the covers of Vogue Italia, Harper's Bazaar, and Elle. Outside of modeling, Bruna is a dedicated advocate and ambassador for Solidarité Femmes, a French association that combats domestic violence against women, a cause deeply personal to her.
