Clayton Evertson

Clayton Evertson is a South African actor renowned for his versatile roles in both local and international productions. Born and raised in Cape Town, he attended Muizenberg High School and later pursued formal acting training at the New Africa Theatre Academy and City Varsity. Evertson further honed his craft with a 10-week course at the prestigious Stella Adler Studio in New York. He gained early recognition in 2008 with his role in the local series Shooting Stars on eTV. His international film credits include Maze Runner: The Death Cure (2018), Honey 3: Dare to Dance (2016), and The Endless River (2015), which was South Africa’s entry at the Venice Film Festival . In recent years, Evertson has been a prominent figure on South African television. He portrayed Jake Sylvester in the popular kykNET telenovela Arendsvlei, earning nominations for Best Actor at the Royalty Soapie Awards . Currently, he stars as Jerome Smith in Juffrou X, a drama series that delves into social issues in a rural school setting . Beyond acting, Evertson is also a writer and director. He has expressed his passion for storytelling through various projects, including his one-man play Forgive the Devil, which was featured at the Grahamstown National Arts Festival .
