Clemens Schick is a prominent German actor, model, political activist, and human rights advocate, born on February 15, 1972, in Tübingen, West Germany. The son of a teacher and a prosecutor, he has four siblings. After graduating from Hölderlin High School in Stuttgart in 1992, he briefly studied at the Academy of Performing Arts (AdK) in Ulm before embarking on an eight-month stay at the Taizé Community monastery in France. He then returned to Germany to complete his acting studies at the Berlin School of Drama, financing his education through various part-time jobs, including landscape gardener, bouncer, and waiter.Schick's acting career began in 1998, primarily in German television productions. He gained international recognition with his role as "Kratt," the menacing bodyguard in the James Bond film Casino Royale (2006). This opened doors to more international projects, and he has since appeared in a diverse range of films and TV series. Notable film roles include Enemy at the Gates (2001), Futuro Beach (2014), Point Break (2015), Overdrive (2017), Sergio (2020), DogMan (2023), and The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes (2023). On television, he has been featured in popular series like Das Boot (2018-2023), Arctic Circle (2018-2019), and Andor (2022).Beyond his screen work, Schick has a deep love for classical theater, performing in leading roles in plays such as William Shakespeare's Richard III, Friedrich Schiller's Don Carlos, and Tennessee Williams' Cat on a Hot Tin Roof.
