Andrew Lawrence Cooper, better known as Cooper Andrews, is an American actor born on March 10, 1985, in Smithtown, Long Island, New York. His diverse heritage includes a Samoan father and a Hungarian-Jewish mother, and he was raised Jewish by his mother. Andrews spent many years in Atlanta and is a graduate of Dunwoody High School.He is widely recognized for his role as Jerry, King Ezekiel's loyal and cheerful right-hand man, in AMC's hit zombie apocalypse series "The Walking Dead," a role he played from 2016 to 2022. Before that, he also had a recurring role as Yo-Yo Engberk in the first three seasons of AMC's "Halt and Catch Fire."Andrews entered the DC Extended Universe (DCEU) playing Victor Vásquez, one of Billy Batson's foster parents, in the 2019 film "Shazam!" and reprised the role in its 2023 sequel, "Shazam! Fury of the Gods." He has also lent his voice to the character of Aquaman/Arthur Curry in the animated series "Aquaman: King of Atlantis" (2021).Beyond his acting roles, Cooper Andrews has also worked behind the camera as a boom operator, stunt coordinator, and assistant director. He is married to Abin Shim since 2019.
