Daisuke Namikawa

Daisuke Namikawa (浪川 大輔, Namikawa Daisuke; born April 2, 1976) is a highly versatile and veteran Japanese actor, voice actor (seiyū), and singer from Tokyo, who is currently associated with his own agency, Stay Luck, which he founded in 2014. Having started his career as a child actor in 1984, Namikawa is renowned for his extensive vocal range, which allows him to convincingly portray a wide spectrum of characters, from earnest, kind-hearted protagonists to complex anti-heroes and menacing villains. He is famously known as the official Japanese voice dub artist for American actors Elijah Wood and Hayden Christensen. In anime, his most iconic roles include the charismatic illusionist and antagonist Hisoka Morow in Hunter × Hunter (2011), the cool, reserved volleyball setter Tōru Oikawa in Haikyuu!!, the compassionate half-Hollow Ulquiorra Cifer in Bleach, the scholarly mage Waver Velvet (and later Lord El-Melloi II) in the Fate franchise, and the enigmatic protagonist Yu Narukami in the Persona 4 series. He also voices the elder brother of the Cursed Womb: Death Painting group, Chōsō, in Jujutsu Kaisen, and is the current voice for Goemon Ishikawa XIII in the Lupin the Third franchise. In addition to his acting and singing career (as part of the unit Uncle Bomb), Namikawa has also ventured into directing, making his directorial debut with the live-action film Wonderful World in 2010.
