Daisy Edgar-Jones is a British actress born on May 24, 1998, in Islington, London. She began her acting career at 17, securing a role in ITV's Cold Feet (2016–2020). Her breakout performance came in 2020 with the BBC/Hulu series Normal People, where she portrayed Marianne Sheridan. This role earned her nominations for a British Academy Television Award and a Golden Globe Award. Following this success, she starred in films such as Fresh (2022), Where the Crawdads Sing (2022), and Twisters (2024), and also appeared in the crime miniseries Under the Banner of Heaven (2022), receiving a second Golden Globe nomination. In 2024, she starred in the romantic drama On Swift Horses, which she also executive produced. Edgar-Jones has been recognized for her contributions to the entertainment industry, including being named to Forbes' 30 Under 30 list in 2021.
