Born Diana Dale Dickey on September 29, 1961, in Knoxville, Tennessee, she began her acting career in theater, performing in productions like the 1989 Broadway version of The Merchant of Venice and revivals of A Streetcar Named Desire and Sweeney Todd. She is a two-time Ovation Award recipient for her stage work in Los Angeles . Dickey made her screen debut in 1995 and has since appeared in over 60 films and television series.
