Daniel "Dan" Beirne (born August 12, 1982, in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada) is a Canadian actor, writer, and producer who has built a notable career across film, television, and digital media since 2006. He is most acclaimed for his leading performance as William Lyon Mackenzie King in the 2019 biographical film The Twentieth Century, a role that earned him the Vancouver Film Critics Circle Award for Best Actor in a Canadian Film and a Canadian Screen Award nomination for Best Actor. Beirne's film credits also include starring roles in Great Great Great, Suck It Up, I Like Movies (2022), and Paying for It (2024), an adaptation of Chester Brown's graphic novel. In television, he has appeared in recurring or guest roles such as Sonny Greer in Fargo, Gary Goldman in Workin' Moms, Nick in the Netflix series Ginny & Georgia, and Tommy in The Guest Book. Additionally, Beirne is an award-winning content creator, having co-created, produced, and written for the web series Space Riders: Division Earth and Dad Drives, winning a Canadian Screen Award and two Canadian Comedy Awards for his work on these digital projects.
