Dan Cogan

Dan Cogan is a highly influential American film producer, celebrated for his work in documentary filmmaking. He is an Academy Award and Emmy Award winner. Cogan's career has been instrumental in supporting films with social impact. In 2007, he co-founded Impact Partners, a fund dedicated to financing films that promote social change. This initiative has supported over 100 films, with many receiving significant accolades, including Academy Awards for Best Documentary Feature. In 2013, he also co-founded Gamechanger Films, a unique fund focused on financing narrative features directed by women, highlighting his commitment to gender diversity in the industry. Most recently, in 2019, he co-founded Story Syndicate with his spouse, director Liz Garbus, where he serves as co-founder and CEO, continuing to produce a diverse range of non-fiction and scripted content.
