Daniël Kolf (born circa 1997 in Suriname) is a rising Dutch actor known for his dynamic presence across film, television, and theatre. He began his artistic journey in Suriname’s youth theatre before relocating to the Netherlands in 2015 to polish his skills at drama schools in Arnhem and Amsterdam . Kolf first made waves with a breakthrough supporting role in Shady El‑Hamus’s debut feature De Libi (2019), and went on to earn a Gouden Kalf nomination for Best Supporting Actor in Forever Rich (2021). His screen credits span lead and supporting roles in I Don’t Wanna Dance, Dirty Talks, Koeriers, and Mommy Mafia, among others, with Almost Cops (2025) and Straatcoaches vs Aliens (upcoming) marking his expanding cinematic presence. On stage, Kolf is an ensemble member at Internationaal Theater Amsterdam, recently featuring in productions like The Damned and Judas. In 2025, he earned a prestigious Theo d’Or nomination for his compelling portrayal in the theatre production De dood van Benny Simons, cementing his status as one of the Netherlands’ most promising young actors. Additionally, he was featured in a March 2025 episode of Opium on NPO Klassiek, discussing his roles and artistic philosophy.
