Danielle Deadwyler is an American actress, performance artist, and filmmaker, born on May 3, 1982, in Atlanta, Georgia. She began her career in theatre in Atlanta before transitioning to film and television.Deadwyler has an extensive filmography, appearing in both independent and major productions. Some of her notable film roles include playing Cuffee in the Western film The Harder They Fall (2021) and the acclaimed portrayal of Mamie Till-Mobley in the biographical drama Till (2022). For her performance in Till, she received significant critical acclaim and several accolades, including nominations for the BAFTA Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role and the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role.
