Danny Dyer (born Daniel John Dyer on July 24, 1977, in Custom House, London, England) is a prominent English actor and presenter, easily recognized for his "hard man" persona and distinctive Cockney accent. He was discovered at a young age and landed early roles in television series like Prime Suspect 3. His breakthrough came with the film Human Traffic, and he gained further recognition for roles in movies such as Mean Machine and The Football Factory, often being typecast in tough-guy roles. This image led to him presenting documentary series like The Real Football Factories and Danny Dyer's Deadliest Men. In 2013, Dyer joined the cast of the BBC soap opera EastEnders as Mick Carter, a role he played until 2022 and for which he won multiple National Television Awards for Serial Drama Performance.
