Darshana Banik (born 15 August 1994 in Kolkata, West Bengal) is an Indian actress and model celebrated for her work across the Bengali, Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, and Bangladeshi film industries . She began her career in modeling as a college student at East Calcutta Girls’ College, quickly becoming the face of brands like Colors Bangla, Vodafone, PC Chandra Jewellers, Boroline, and Vivel. Transitioning to acting in 2018, she debuted in Bengali cinema with Aschhe Abar Shabor and followed it with popular titles like Jojo, Aami Ashbo Phirey, and Mukhomukhi . Simultaneously, she entered Telugu cinema with Aatagallu and featured in thrillers like Black (2022), while also appearing in Hindi films such as Dybbuk and Bangladeshi blockbusters like Operation Sundarbans and Omar. On the digital front, Banik has shone in web series including Six, Bou Keno Psycho, Byomkesh, Hello Mini (where she played Tista), and the Telugu hit Save the Tigers (Season 2) . Her dedication earned her the “Iconic Star” award for her role in Operation Sundarbans. She tied the knot with fellow Bengali actor Saurav Das on 15 December 2023.
