David Corenswet

David Packard Corenswet (born July 8, 1993, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) is an American actor and Juilliard graduate who rose to prominence in Ryan Murphy’s Netflix series The Politician (2019–2020) and Hollywood (2020), portraying complex, aspirational young men.Before his breakout roles, he worked extensively in theater during childhood, wrote and starred in the short film Following Chase (2011), and co-created the web series Moe & Jerryweather while at Juilliard . In recent years, Corenswet demonstrated his versatility with roles in HBO’s We Own This City (2022), Netflix’s Look Both Ways and Pearl (both 2022), as well as Twisters and Lady in the Lake (2024). In June 2023, he was cast as Clark Kent/Superman in James Gunn’s Superman (2025), a career-defining turn described by Gunn as the ideal blend of dramatic depth and superhero physicality . Off-screen, Corenswet is a married father—he wed actress Julia Best Warner in March 2023 and together they have a daughter—and leads a grounded life in suburban Pennsylvania, enjoying DIY projects and aviation alongside caring for his Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.
