David Kaye is a highly accomplished Canadian-American voice actor and on-camera performer, widely regarded as one of the most versatile and recognizable voices in the industry. With a career that began in the late 1980s, he has lent his voice to hundreds of animated series, video games, commercials, and movie trailers.Kaye is most famous for his work in the Transformers franchise. He is the first and only actor to have regularly voiced both of the franchise's main rivals: the villainous Megatron and the heroic Optimus Prime. He portrayed Megatron in five different series (Beast Wars, Beast Machines, Armada, Energon, and Cybertron), and later took on the role of Optimus Prime in Transformers: Animated.Beyond Transformers, his voice has been a staple in popular culture for decades. In the world of video games, he is the long-standing voice of Clank in the Ratchet & Clank series.
