Krumholtz quickly transitioned to film, finding early success as a child actor in memorable roles like the sarcastic Head Elf Bernard in The Santa Clause (1994) and its sequel (The Santa Clause 2), as well as the love interest Joel Glicker in Addams Family Values (1993). As a teenager, he appeared in films like The Ice Storm (1997), Slums of Beverly Hills (1998), and the popular romantic comedy 10 Things I Hate About You (1999) as Michael Eckman. His most prominent television role was as the brilliant, crime-solving mathematician Charlie Eppes in the CBS drama series Numb3rs, which ran from 2005 to 2010.
