Dennenesch Zoudé
Dennenesch Zoudé was born on December 14, 1966, in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. When she was two years old, in 1968, her family relocated to West Berlin, Germany. Initially, fulfilling her parents' wishes, she trained as a business correspondent and subsequently worked as a secretary in a Berlin contracting firm. However, her passion led her to pursue acting, and she received her training at the Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre in New York City. Additionally, she honed her vocal skills with singing lessons from Cullen Maiden and Veronika Fischer. Zoudé's career has spanned numerous German television productions and films, including "The Calendar Killer" (2025) where she plays Meret. She gained wider recognition for her role as Wilhelmina "Mina" Makhubela in the television series "Hinter Gittern – Der Frauenknast" from 2004 to 2007. She has also appeared in international productions such as "Equilibrium" (2002) and "Charlie's Angels" (2019). Dennenesch Zoudé was previously married to German film director Carlo Rola until his death in 2016. Since February 2020, she has been a board member of the Deutsche Filmakademie (The German Film Academy) and currently resides in Berlin.
