Derek Richardson is an American actor best known for his roles in both comedy and horror, as well as his extensive television work. Born on January 18, 1976, in Queensbury, New York, he began his career with guest roles on shows like Law & Order and Strangers with Candy. He gained early recognition for starring as a young Harry Dunne in the 2003 prequel film, Dumb and Dumberer: When Harry Met Lloyd, and later cemented his presence in the horror genre as Josh Brooks in Eli Roth's controversial 2005 film Hostel, a role that earned him an MTV Movie Award nomination for "Best Frightened Performance." On television, Richardson was a main cast member on the romantic comedy series Men in Trees (2006–2008) as Patrick Bachelor and was a series regular on Charlie Sheen's sitcom Anger Management (2012–2014) as Nolan Johnson. He is also the consistent voice of Lanny, the enthusiastic Christmas elf partner to Wayne, in the popular Disney animated franchise Prep & Landing, having voiced the character across all four specials, including the recent Prep & Landing: The Snowball Protocol (2025).
