Dev Ramnath (born Swaminath Raamanathan) is an Indian actor, creative producer, and entrepreneur who works primarily in the Tamil film and digital industry. An engineering graduate from SSN College, Chennai, he worked in the corporate sector for two years before pursuing his passion for cinema. He initially began his career under the screen name Abhinav before rebranding as Dev Ramnath in 2019. He made his acting debut playing Nazriya Nazim's love interest in Balaji Mohan’s bilingual film Vaayai Moodi Pesavum (2014) and gained further notice for his role as the suitor to Miya George in the critically acclaimed Oru Naal Koothu (2016). His career reached a turning point with the crime thriller Vellai Pookal (2019), where he played the lead role of Ajay, the son of a retired cop (played by Vivek). Beyond acting, Dev is a successful entrepreneur and the co-founder of Madboys Creatives, a production house that has produced over 100 commercials and digital brand films for major companies like Zomato, Flipkart, and Hotstar. He co-directed and starred in Happy to be Single (2013), often cited as South India's first web series. In 2025/2026, he is taking on a major dual role in the high-profile period political drama Parasakthi (2026), where he serves as both a creative producer and an actor in a prominent supporting role. His recent works include the horror film Pechi (2024) and the web series Sweet Kaaram Coffee (2023).
