Kawennáhere Devery Jacobs is a Canadian Mohawk actress, writer, and director, widely celebrated for her pivotal role as the driven and intelligent Elora Danan Postoak in the acclaimed FX on Hulu comedy-drama series Reservation Dogs (2021–2023), for which she also served as a writer and director. Born on August 8, 1993, in Kahnawà:ke, Quebec, Jacobs began her acting career with her breakthrough performance as the lead character Aila in the 2013 film Rhymes for Young Ghouls, which earned her a Canadian Screen Award nomination for Best Actress. She is a passionate advocate for Indigenous rights and representation in media, actively working to subvert stereotypes in her work. Her other notable television roles include Sam Black Crow in the second season of American Gods and Lilith Bathory in the Netflix series The Order. More recently, she joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe, voicing the character Kahhori in the animated series What If...? and playing Bonnie in the live-action miniseries Echo (2024). Jacobs also continues to write and direct her own short films, such as Stolen (2016) and Rae (2017), using her voice to tell Indigenous stories, and is part of the extensive cast for the upcoming 2025 film Oh.
