Dominic Mafham is an English stage, film, and television actor who was born on March 11, 1968, and trained at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School, following his time with the National Youth Theatre. His acting career began in 1990 at the Royal Shakespeare Company, and he has since appeared in over 80 productions across three decades. Mafham first rose to prominence in 1996 for his role as Daniel Pascoe in the Channel 4 drama The Fragile Heart, and he later gained widespread recognition for playing Dan Woodhouse in all seven seasons of the Irish medical drama The Clinic, for which he was nominated for an Irish Film and Television Award for Best Leading Actor. His extensive list of credits includes films like The English Patient, Ophelia (as Polonius), and Golda (as Haim Bar Lev), as well as numerous TV series such as Our Mutual Friend, Killing Eve (as Charles Kruger), W1A, Humans (as Chief Superintendent Shaw), Coronation Street (as Dr. Henry Thorne), Grantchester, and Vigil. He was also nominated for a Broadway World Best Supporting Actor award for his stage performance as Osborne in Journey's End in the West End. Mafham also works as a voice-over artist, having recorded several audiobooks and served as the voice for the World Vision UK television campaign.
