Donald Frank Cheadle Jr. (born November 29, 1964) is an American actor, director, producer, and writer renowned for his intense, versatile, and often understated performances across film and television. Hailing from Kansas City, Missouri, Cheadle developed an early passion for acting and went on to graduate with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the California Institute of the Arts in 1986. His career began with supporting roles in the late 1980s, gradually gaining recognition for his work in films like "Hamburger Hill" (1987) and "Colors" (1988).Cheadle's prominence grew significantly in the 1990s with critically acclaimed performances in films such as "Devil in a Blue Dress" (1995), for which he won several Best Supporting Actor awards, "Rosewood" (1997), and "Boogie Nights" (1997).
