Ma Dong-seok (born Lee Dong-seok on March 1, 1971), widely known as Don Lee, is a South Korean-American actor and film producer. He gained immense popularity and established himself as a leading action star in South Korea, earning the nickname "the King of Action" for his signature roles as tough, strong, and often humorous characters who use their physical prowess to fight injustice. Before his acting career, he worked as a personal trainer for mixed martial artists, including Mark Coleman and Kevin Randleman.Lee's breakout role came in the critically acclaimed zombie thriller "Train to Busan" (2016), which brought him international recognition. He further cemented his status with the successful "The Outlaws" franchise, starting with "The Outlaws" (2017) where he plays the relentless detective Ma Seok-do, a role he has reprised in subsequent highly successful sequels such as "The Roundup" (2022), "The Roundup: No Way Out" (2023), and "The Roundup: Punishment" (2024).In 2021, he made his Hollywood debut as Gilgamesh in the Marvel Cinematic Universe film "Eternals," further expanding his global presence. He is a prolific actor and producer, involved in numerous projects, including "Badland Hunters" (2024), and is set to appear in "Holy Night: Demon Hunters" (2025) as Ba Woo, a film for which he also has a screenplay credit.
