Douggie McMeekin
Douggie McMeekin is an English actor known for his work across stage, television, and film. He is an alumnus of the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA), having first earned a physics degree from the University of Nottingham. His early career included winning the Judges Award for Acting at the National Student Drama Festival in 2011 and making his professional stage debut as a Lost Boy in Wendy & Peter Pan at the Royal Shakespeare Company in 2015. He was also nominated for an Ian Charleson Award in 2018 for his performance as Snug the Joiner in A Midsummer Night's Dream.On screen, McMeekin has appeared in a variety of notable productions. His television roles include playing Sunny Blandford in the historical drama The Crown (2017), Charles Quigley in Harlots (2017-2019), and Aleksandr Yuvchenko in the critically acclaimed miniseries Chernobyl (2019). More recently, he featured as Tindaro in the 2024 Netflix historical comedy series The Decameron. In film, his credits include roles in the 2019 comedy The Hustle, the 2022 Lena Dunham film Catherine Called Birdy as Lord Rolf of Saxony, and the 2024 IVF drama Joy as John Brown. He is also part of the cast for the upcoming 2025 series Too Much and the film Steve.
