Ed Kear is a versatile British talent known as an actor, writer, director, and stand-up comedian hailing from Bristol. As an actor, he has secured roles in major Hollywood blockbusters, including The Batman (2022), Venom: Let There Be Carnage (2021), Cruella (2021), and the upcoming Deadpool & Wolverine (2024).He is a familiar face on British television, playing a series regular, Dean, in the BBC One comedy Here We Go, and appearing in shows like Ghosts (BBC/CBS), Star Wars: The Acolyte (Disney+), and Slow Horses (Apple TV). In 2022, he made his West End debut as 'Davey' in the revival of Jez Butterworth's play Jerusalem, starring alongside Mark Rylance.Beyond acting, Kear is a rising star in the UK stand-up comedy circuit, a winner of the Top Secret Comedy Gong Show, and made his TV stand-up debut on The Stand Up Sketch Show (ITV) in 2024. As a filmmaker, he directs and writes as one half of the duo "Rude Guests," whose short film Just Be Awesome won Best Comedy at the BAFTA-qualifying Bolton Film Festival in 2024, and they are currently in post-production on their debut feature film, Go Away.
