Eisa Davis is an acclaimed American playwright, actress, and singer-songwriter, known for her powerful and versatile work in theater, film, and television. Born on May 5, 1971, in Berkeley, California, she is the niece of political activist Angela Davis, a connection that has deeply influenced her art. A graduate of Harvard University and the Actors Studio Drama School, Davis has earned two Obie Awards for her work and was a Pulitzer Prize finalist for her play Bulrusher.
