Elaine Hendrix (born Katherine Elaine Hendrix on December 28, 1970, in Oak Ridge, Tennessee) is a multifaceted American actress, model, dancer, singer, producer, and passionate animal rights activist. She began her professional journey as a dancer and model in her teens, but following a bicycle accident that ended her dance career, she moved to Los Angeles in 1992 to pursue acting . Hendrix quickly carved out a niche in both television and film—with early highlights including Agent 66 on Fox’s Get Smart revival (1995) and roles in Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion (1997) and Superstar (1999). She rose to widespread recognition portraying Meredith Blake—the ambitious fiancée—in Disney’s The Parent Trap (1998), a role she has notably defended and revisited in a cameo in Freakier Friday alongside Lindsay Lohan.
