Eliseo Barrionuevo (Buenos Aires, 25 May 1986) is a versatile Argentine actor, singer, writer, and theater artist with a career spanning film, television, and stage. After studying acting at Buenos Aires’ prestigious National University of the Arts and refining his craft with mentors like Eugenio Barba, Ciro Zorzoli, and Marcelo Savignone, he became known for his dynamic performances in musical theater—particularly in productions such as Rent, Sweeney Todd, Tango Feroz, and Once, una vez en la vida, winning the Hugo Award for Best Leading Actor in 2019. On television, Barrionuevo has appeared in popular Argentine series including Casi Ángeles, Combatientes, Viudas e hijos del rock and roll, Esperanza mía, Mi hermano es un clon, and more recently, international productions like Riviera (Sky TV), El secreto de la familia Greco (Netflix), Porno y helado (Amazon), and Halo (Paramount+). In cinema, he’s had roles in Argentine and co‑produced films such as Encontrarás dragones, El amigo alemán, Bien de familia, and Axiomas . In the recent Hallmark movie My Argentine Heart (2025), he portrays Antonio, showcasing his charm to an international audience.
