Elizabeth Perkins, born Elizabeth Ann Perkins on November 18, 1960, in Queens, New York City, is an accomplished American actress known for her versatility across film and television. Raised in Vermont after her parents' divorce, she pursued her passion for acting at the Goodman School of Drama at DePaul University. Perkins made her film debut in 1986 in About Last Night... and gained significant recognition for her role alongside Tom Hanks in the popular film Big (1988).
