Emeraude Toubia, born on March 1, 1989, in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, is a talented American actress and model of Mexican and Lebanese descent. Raised in Brownsville, Texas, she began her artistic journey early, training in classical ballet, flamenco, lyrical, and belly dance from the age of five. Her passion for the stage led her to participate in numerous beauty pageants as a teenager, earning titles such as Miss South Texas, Miss Rio Grande Valley America, and Miss Teen Brownsville.Toubia's career began in television, with an early appearance on Televisa's El Mundo de los Niños at age ten. She gained wider recognition as the first runner-up in the 2008 Univision reality show Nuestra Belleza Latina. This exposure led to commercial work for major brands and hosting roles on various NBC Universo entertainment programs. She made her acting debut in the Nickelodeon Latin America telenovela 11-11: En mi cuadra nada cuadra (2013), followed by roles in Cosita Linda (2014) and Voltea pa' que te enamores (2015).Her breakthrough role came in 2016 when she began portraying the fan-favorite character Isabelle Lightwood in the Freeform fantasy series Shadowhunters, based on The Mortal Instruments book series. This role earned her a Teen Choice Award nomination. Since then, Toubia has starred in the Amazon Prime Video romantic comedy series With Love (2021-2023) as Lily Diaz and has appeared in films such as Love in the Sun (2019), Holiday in Santa Fe (2021), and the 2025 horror film Rosario, where she plays the lead role of Rosario Fuentes and also serves as an executive producer.
