Emily Ruhl is an actress, director, writer, and producer. Born on March 13, 1996, in New Jersey, she was scouted as a model at the age of 13 while attending New York Fashion Week. She signed her first modeling contract in Tokyo and later worked with top modeling agencies. She has appeared in various magazines, including Teen Vogue and Marie Claire.Her acting career began with a role opposite Nicholas Hoult in the film Newness, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival. Ruhl made her producing, directorial, and writing debut with the short film Blue Moon in 2021. The film was based on her best friend's experience and earned her several awards. Following this, she launched her own production company, Public School Pictures, and has been developing a television series titled 13th Stepping. She has also produced other projects, including the films The Last Brunch and We Strangers, both of which premiered at the South by Southwest film festival in 2024.
