Érico Brás (Érico Brás de Oliveira; born March 5, 1979, in Salvador, Bahia) is a celebrated Brazilian actor, comedian, presenter, and singer. He started performing in street theater and joined the Bando de Teatro Olodum before making his screen debut as Reginaldo in the film Ó Paí, Ó (2007)—a role he reprised in the TV adaptation—marking his entrance into television . He became known in the series Tapas & Beijos (2011–2015) as Jurandir and later featured in comedic programs like Zorra Total, dramas such as A Lei do Amor, the revived Escolinha do Professor Raimundo, and took on a hosting role in Globo’s daytime show Se Joga alongside Fernanda Gentil and Fabiana Karla . In film, his credits extend to Quincas Berro d’Água, O Concurso, Vai que Cola 2, and L.O.C.A. Beyond acting, Brás is a vocal advocate for Afro-Brazilian culture and racial justice. He created the YouTube channel "Tá bom pra você?" to challenge the lack of black representation in advertising, and was named among the “100 Most Influential Blacks in the World” by MIPAD, also serving as a UN Population Fund advisor . In 2022, he further expanded his creative reach by releasing his debut EP Sincérico Brasileiro, which blends samba, reggae, forró and MPB with roots in Bahia . Married to producer and activist Kênia Maria since 2012, they have a daughter, and their partnership has been recognized for its representation and activism in Brazil.
