Maria Esmeralda Pimentel Murguía (born September 8, 1989), known professionally as Esmeralda Pimentel, is a Mexican actress and model. She began her career in the entertainment industry in 2007 by participating in the beauty pageant Nuestra Belleza México, where she was a runner-up. After her pageant success, she enrolled at Televisa's acting school, Centro de Educación Artística, to pursue acting.Pimentel is best known for her roles in telenovelas. She gained early recognition for her work in Abismo de pasión (2012), which earned her a Bravo Award for Best New Actress. Her career further expanded with lead roles in popular series such as El color de la pasión (2014) and Enamorándome de Ramón (2017).She has since transitioned to a wider range of projects, including films and series for streaming platforms. Her recent work includes the Netflix series Montecristo (2023) and the 2024 television series Un buen divorcio. In 2025, she appeared in the Spanish film Un funeral de locos. Pimentel has also been a host for major events, including the 2024 Platino Awards.
